Randy Dobson

Randy Dobson is a private bass, guitar, and voice teacher as well as a performer. He taught elementary music for several years before opening his private studio. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music in Composition from Reinhardt University.

Mr. Dobson teaches our guitar classes, as well as private bass guitar and drum lessons.

Hannah Dubuc

Hannah Dubuc graduated with a B.A. in Music from Thomas Edison State University. Her primary performance instruments are piano and violin. Currently she runs a private music studio, offering lessons to students in Cherokee County, and is a member of the Music Teacher’s National Association. Hannah has been actively involved in serving churches for 14 years with piano, violin, and voice. She has played for Reinhardt’s Symphony Orchestra, and is now performing with First Baptist Atlanta’s Orchestra. She is also certified in Conversational Solfege.

Miss Dubuc teaches our strings classes.

McKenzi Fenn


McKenzi Fenn graduated Cum Laude with Honors in Education from Anderson University in Indiana.  While earning her B.A. degree in Music Education, she studied Voice with Dr. Fritz Robertson, Conducting with Dr. Richard Sowers, and Music Education Methods with Professor Joani Brandon & Ms. Diana Gillespie.  She also has a Masters in Choral Education at the same institution; her professors have included Dr. Jean Ashworth Bartle, Dr. John Feierabend, and Dr. Jeffrey Wright.  Her professional career began at Central Middle School in Carrollton, Georgia.  She also served as the Music Specialist at Chattahoochee Elementary and Vickery Creek Elementary in Forsyth County, and Choral Director at North Forsyth High School. Under her direction, choirs have received Superior & Excellent ratings at LGPE and also sang for Georgia First Lady, Mary Perdue.  Additionally, McKenzi was a nominee for the Disney Hand Teacher Award her first year teaching and is a member of GMEA, MENC, and OAKE. We are delighted that she has come out of “retirement!”!

Marie Blackmar

Marie Blackmar graduated from Reinhardt University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. She is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and maintains a private piano studio in Waleska, GA. 

Marie is the choir accompanist and offers private piano lessons on Thursdays.

Jackie Gray

Jackie Gray graduated from West Georgia College with a degree in Piano Performance/Pedagogy and is certified in First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege. She has been involved in church music since high school, and has been the pianist and praise team leader in several churches. She homeschooled her four children.

Mrs. Gray has taught recorder at Sounds of Praise began in 2007. She is the Executive Director for SOP and also teaches and accompanies various classes.
